Ika-125 Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas

MALIGAYANG ARAW NG KALAYAAN!

Ngayong 12 Hunyo 2023, nakikiisa ang UP Diliman Opisina ng Pagpapasimuno sa Kultura at mga Sining sa pagdiriwang ng ika-125 na anibersaryo ng kalayaan ng Pilipinas mula sa pananakop ng mga Español.

Ang tema ng selebrasyon ngayong taon ay “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” Makibahagi sa mga aktibidad na inihanda ng National Historical Commission of the Philippines. Tignan ang buong detalye sa link na ito: https://bit.ly/PH125-Calendar-of-Activities

May 28 is National Flag Day!

May 28 is National Flag Day!

By virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 374 s. 1965, May 28 is declared as “National Flag Day” to commemorate the date the national emblem was first unfurled after the Philippine Revolutionary Army defeated the Spanish forces in the Battle at Alapan, Imus, Cavite in 1898.

On May 23, 1994, Executive Order No. 79 was issued extending the period of celebrating National Flag Day from May 28 to June 12.
