Nagwakas man ang Martial Law, hindi pa rin natatapos ang mga isyung kinakaharap ng mga katutubo lalung-lalo na sa pakikibaka nila alang-alang sa kanilang lupang ninuno.
Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay panawagan din upang makiisa sa kanilang laban para sa karapatan sa edukasyon, pagsusulong ng pagkakakilanlan, at pagtataguyod ng kultura at kasaysayan.
Dahil ang pagsasanggalang sa karapatan ng ating mga katutubo ay pagsasanggalang din sa ating kalikasan at sa buhay ng sangkatauhan.
