The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) awarded degrees to 4,600 students last June 25, 2017 at the University Amphitheater. Led by 36 summa cum laude, the university’s 106th General Commencement Exercises was graced by the presence of the Secretary of Budget and Management, UP School of Economics Professor Emeritus Benjamin E. Diokno. After his commencement speech, Sec. Diokno was also conferred a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa.
