Pag-iilaw is a traditional lighting ceremony in which UP Diliman officially welcomes the Christmas Season. Unlike the previous ceremonies, Pag-iilaw 2019 was held at UP Diliman Carillon Plaza.
With the theme “Pumailanlang”, or “to soar”, the program used the Carillon Tower as a venue for all the performances, including the display of the bird-like lanterns symbolizing the university’s affinity to be a sanctuary for wildlife and humans alike.
