The UPD Performing Arts Scholarship Program (PASP) Certificate was awarded to fifty-seven (57) student-artists from seven (7) Official Student Performing Arts Groups. In addition, seventeen (17) student-artists comprised of undergraduates and one (1) master’s received the newly established UPD Visual Arts and Cultural Studies Program (VACSSP) Certificate.
With the goal of recognizing and further enriching the student performing arts groups at the university, the Office of the Chancellor, through the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (UPD OICA), established the Honorific Award for Student Performing Arts Group or HASPAG. With this, groups that have demonstrated exceptional excellence and dedication in their own field will be recognized as the “Official Performing Arts Group of UP Diliman.”
Seven were recognized as the Official Performing Arts Groups of UP Diliman: UP Dance Company; UP Symphonic Band; the UP Repertory Company; UP Streetdance Club; UP Singing Ambassadors; UP Kontra-Gapi; and UP Concert Chorus.
Tuition waivers are also granted to selected members of the University’s official performing arts groups under the UPD Performing Arts Scholarship Program or PASP. For its second year, PASP will again be granted to exceptional students who are members of the University’s official performing arts groups.
