Last May 4, the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) celebrated its best and brightest in the first ever Parada ng Parangal (Parade of Honor). Commemorating the university’s achievements, student achievers and distinguished faculty and staff marched around the campus in their festive Pinoy overalls.

The annual lighting ceremony was led by UP President Aflredo E. Pascual and UP Diliman Chancellor Michael L. Tan.

Italian virtuoso pianist Christian Leotta held a Master Class at the Abelardo Hall Auditorium of the College of Music on November 12, 2014.  It was attended by students and faculty of the College of Music and other music schools.

The UP Board of Regents officially confirmed Dr. Michael Lim Tan as Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Diliman.

For the second time, OICA held an orientation on its Financial Grants Program titled, "Grants, Gigs & Gimmicks." It was held last 20th of October, 2014 at the Aldaba Hall.  

A Harp and Guitar performance and master class featuring Italian musicians Roberto Porroni (guitar) and Marta Pettoni (harp) was held, free of charge, on 11 October 2014, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bulwagan ng Dangal.

3D Sinnovations, a leading Australian 3D printer manufacturer, donated three (3) units of Mega Prusa Starter Kits to U.P. Diliman, through the UPD Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA).  

UP Diliman marked its 106th Foundation Day with a two-part celebration.  The festivities commenced with a special flag-raising ceremony on 18 June 2014 at the Oblation Plaza, and concluded with an outdoor dance concert at the same venue on 20 June 2014.

The Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA)  participated in the “Time Space Existence” Exhibit at the Palazzo Mora in Venice, Italy organized by the Global Art Affairs Foundation, from 7 June to 23 November 2014.

UPD OICA was assigned to constitute the Sub-Committee on Site Design for the 103rd General Commencement Exercises of UPD. The design was implemented in partnership with the UPD Campus Maintenance Office.
