The Pag-iilaw 2016 was helmed under the theme “Himig ng Diliman, Hagkan ang Gabi”, to connote that, despite our differences, there will always be a familiar voice in the wilderness, a song of hope that everyone can sing along to every Christmas.
Seven (7) groups were given the UP Diliman Honorific Award for Student Performing Arts Group (HASPAG) during the Conferment Ceremony led by UP Diliman Chancellor Michael Lim Tan held last August 26, 2016 at the Bahay ng Alumni.
More than 4,500 graduates from the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) received their degrees during the University’s 105th General Commencement Exercises last June 26 2016 at the UPD Amphitheater.
That year, the concept of the "woven fabric" represented the annual "Linggo ng Parangal" of the University of the Philippines Diliman to symbolize how members of the UP community relentlessly collaborate to develop an unshakable desire to care for the people. The university honored those who've succeeded in their fields of expertise through a series of programs that paid tribute to outstanding faculty, students, REPS and staff.
An Asian music concert entitled “Bulan at Karawitan” was held under the light of the full moon last 22nd of April 2016 at the University Amphitheater.
The concert was part of the “Diliman Earth Fair,” an outdoor festival in celebration of Earth Day 2016, organized by the UP College of Music (CMu) Department of Musicology headed by Dr. Verne de la Peña, in association with the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts.
A colorful touch was added to the customary Pag-iilaw celebration last Nov. 27, 2015 when the entire UP Diliman community united in recreating a Kapampangan Christmas tradition.
Grants, Gigs, and Gimmicks 2015 is the 3rd orientation and workshop conducted by UPD OICA regarding the Financial Grants Program. It was held last 26th of October 2015 at the Aldaba Hall, University Theater.
Last October 2015, representatives from Xiemen University and the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines joined notable UP officials to officially inaugurate the Confucius Institute at UP Diliman (CI-UPD).
The 104th Commencement Exercises of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) took place last June 28, 2015 at the University Amphitheater. Following the university’s academic calendar shift from June to August, that was the first time UP held its graduation ceremony in June.
As part of the university's 107th anniversary celebration, the UP community mounted a university-wide event in honor of the school's rich history as well as its bright future.
