University Collections Mapping – Project Launch

When

October 24, 2017

The University Collection Mapping (UCM) Project is a follow-up effort to the last inventory of the University of the Philippines’ art collection in 1986, and was envisioned to guide the formulation of policy with regard to the art, furniture, ethnographic, and philately collections of UP Diliman. It aims to expand the inventory’s content and display, to sustain a museum education, program, promote conservation and upkeep of the collections, and allow the public access to the University’s art heritage. Two of its tangible outputs are (1) Adhika: Vision & Legacy, a publication comprised of essays that present the highlights of these collections, accessible in print and digital formats; and (2) University of the Philippines Diliman Collections (https://universitycollections.upd.edu.ph), a digital catalog of all objects within the scope of the project.
